Going Going by Naomi Shihab Nye
I give this book a four star rating. Going Going is about a girl named, Florrie. Florrie is an independent girl that thinks the way things are shouldn’t change. For example, Florrie lives in San Antonio, and there is a lot of independent businesses there, meaning not a chain businesses like McDonalds. She feels that all the chain businesses are taking over her city, and making independent businesses close down. She doesn’t like that, so she gets a group of people her age to help her start getting more people, to start striking against all of the chain businesses. Will chain businesses close? Will the independent businesses open again? Well you’ll have to read to find out.
In my opinion this is a good book. It makes it so you won’t want to stop reading. I would recommend it to anyone that wants a shorter, random book.
